Settings

Settings control how EzFin works for you: language, currency, time zone, security, notifications, and more. Here is the complete guide to each option.

Profile

Update your name, email, and avatar. Email changes require confirmation via a link sent to the new address.

  1. 1 Click your avatar in the upper-right corner and pick Profile.
  2. 2 Edit the desired fields.
  3. 3 To change your password, scroll to the "Password" section and follow the flow.

Preferences (language, currency, formats)

Choose between Portuguese, English, or Spanish. Set your preferred currency (shown in totals) and the date and time formats that match your region.

Tip: The preferred currency does not auto-convert transactions — it only sets the default symbol. Each account keeps its own currency.

Security and 2FA

We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) using an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

  1. 1 Under Settings > Security, click "Enable 2FA".
  2. 2 Scan the QR code with your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
  3. 3 Save the recovery codes in a safe place — they are your only way back in if you lose your phone.

Notifications

Choose what you want to receive: budget alerts, bill reminders, goal milestones, product news. You can adjust channels (email, push, WhatsApp) individually.

Subscription and plan

View your current plan, payment history, and upgrade/downgrade. Cancellation keeps access until the end of the paid period — no extra charges.

Data export and privacy

You own your data. You can export all your transactions in CSV or JSON at any time. To permanently delete your account, use the "Delete account" option — it is irreversible and removes all data within 30 days as required by privacy laws.

Tip: Run periodic exports as a personal backup — especially before mass imports or major configuration changes.
